Tony Sanborn

President

Tony Sanborn has worked for the Scottsdale Police Department for the past 16 years and has been a Canine Handler for 11 years. Tony and his dual purpose canine partner Djaro are currently assigned as the SWAT K9 and Unit Trainer for his department. Tony has spent the last 6 years with ALECA as the Vice President.

Chris Villa

Vice President

Chris Villa has worked as a Police Officer for the City of Phoenix Police Department for the past 15 years. He has had the opportunity to work as a Detective for the Crimes against Children Unit, Drug Enforcement Bureau and the Neighborhood Enforcement Team. In 2016, Chris was selected as a K9 Handler and is currently working K9 Mattis, A Dual Purpose EOD/Patrol K9. Chris was elected to the ALECA Board in 2023.

Marcus Patterson

Secretary

Marcus Patterson has worked for the Goodyear Police Department for the past 11 years in various assignments. Marcus has been assigned to the K-9 Unit for over 3 years and currently handles a dual purpose Patrol/EOD Canine “Billy.” Prior to becoming the Secretary of ALECA, Marcus served as a Trustee.

Jeremy Pitt

Treasurer

Jeremy Pitt has worked for the Scottsdale Police Department for the past 15 years in a variety of assignments. Jeremy has been assigned as the departments K-9 Sergeant for the last two years and currently handles a dual purpose patrol/EOD K9 named Booker. Jeremy joined ALECA upon assignment to the K-9 unit and has been the Treasurer of ALECA since 2023.
